1601 High Temperature Blue Polyester Silicone Masking Tape
1601 is a 23μ clear polyester film, single coated with a translucent blue silicone pressure sensitive adhesive system, 68μ total thickness. Recommended for a variety of masking and splicing applications.
  • Masking contacts during PCB manufacturing.
  • High temperature masking during curing cycles.
  • Masking during chemical etching.
  • Splicing of various types of substrates, particularly siliconised surfaces like silicone release papers.
  • End roll tabbing.
  • Resistant to components used in varnish dipping, epoxy resin coatings and adhesives.
  • Withstands long periods of heat up to 130°C
  • Resists baking temperatures up to 180°C up to 20 minutes
  • Blue colour enables easy splice identification.

    • The rolls should be stored flat on their cut edges in the original packaging. The product must be protected from dust, heat, moisture, direct sunlight and solvent fumes.

    The shelf life will vary depending on conditions of storage but should not be less than one year from the date of manufacture of stored in a moderate climate and good conditions. Surfaces should be clean, dry and free of dust, grease, oil or other contaminants. Adhesive performance should be carefully checked when used on substrates containing plasticisers.
